4-H Jr. Leaders travel to Albuquerque

Forty-eight 4-H members from the River Valley District traveled to Albuquerque, New Mexico on Monday, August 7. After spending two full days of sightseeing and learning, the group traveled back home on Thursday, August 10th.

4-H Jr. Leaders are youth that are age 12 and up and enrolled in the Leadership project through 4-H. Through the leadership project, youth are developing life skills to being a better leader and example for others. Due to space restrictions, youth must have been age 14 as of the trip to be eligible to register.

On the way to Albuquerque on August 7, the group stopped at the Boot Hill Museum in Dodge City to learn some history of the Wild West. Students toured the museum and watched a re-enactment gun fight,.
