Cloud County Community College’s new Precision Ag program has received a $30,300 grant from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation.

“We are very appreciative of the grant from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation,” said Nancy Zenger-Beneda, vice president for academic affairs. “It is critical support in funding necessary equipment that will focus on providing students with hands-on experience.”

The college’s Agriculture Department needed to purchase instructional equipment and materials. The department worked with the college Foundation to form a partnership with Concordia Tractor Inc. to fundraise $40,400. The funds will purchase a tractor that can be equipped with a GPS monitor and a sprayer with a digitally controlled output system.
