FFA members visit Washington

June 13-18, Republic County FFA members (from left) Jaycee Blazek, Riley Woodward, Lasondra Aurand and Amanda Baxa, shown with US Senator Jerry Moran, attended the Washington Leadership Conference in Washington D.C. At the Conference, students created Living to Serve Plans, which are tangible plans to bring back to their communities. They also participated in a service project where they packed over 60,000 meals for low income families in the Washington D.C. area. Members toured the Capitol including the monuments, the Capitol Building, the Newseum, the Holocaust Museum, and the Smithsonian Museum of Natural Sciences.
