Brandie J. Taylor, 46, of Kearney went to be with Jesus on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at CHI Health – Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Memorial services were held Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Berean Church in Kearney. Pastor Kelly Larsen officiated and burial was be at Kearney Cemetery. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney are in charge of arrangements. Brandie was born on February 11, 1971 in Emporia, KS to Ron and Janet (Wilkes) Mallam. She attended Kearney High School and graduated with the class of 1989. She then attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney and graduated with a teaching degree in 1993. Most recently Brandie graduated from UNMC in 2014 with a degree in Nursing and was in the process of obtaining her degree as a Nurse Practitioner. Brandie married Karl Yeutter in December of 1992 and to this union were born two daughters; Madison Joy and Macie Claire. They later divorced and she married Ross Taylor on April 23, 2017. Brandie spent her younger years taking care of her daughters, which were her pride and joy. After being a devoted stay at home mom, Brandie obtained her nursing degree and worked at Good Samaritan Hospital. She had a true passion for helping and serving others, as was evident in the care she provided to her patients. Brandie was strong in her faith and morals; she knew the truth and could articulate it well. What she loved most was being a mom and wife. Brandie also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, shopping with her girls, and spoiling her nieces and nephews. She had a love for nurturing the connection between a mother and her child. She loved to laugh and also to share a laugh with others. She was wise and gifted with always knowing the right words to say. A favorite Christmas tradition was making gingerbread houses with all the kids. She will also be remembered for her famous love of Starbucks. Above all, Brandie was a friend to everyone. No matter how much everyone loved her, she loved them more.
